Kourtney Kardashian Just Shared Everything She Eats On Cheat Days
Though all the Kardashians lead pretty health-conscious lives, it’s safe to say that Kourtney Kardashian is the family’s wellness queen. The eldest sister long been known for her super restrictive diets, intense fitness schedule, and recently, she launched her own lifestyle website, Poosh, which focuses heavily on well-being. That said, the reality star believes in balance and admits to giving into her cravings, which include Oreos, on a regular basis.
In a recent post, she shared the importance of cheat days and how she incorporates them into her routine. “Indulging every once in a while is self-care,” the post reads, “Whether you follow a strict diet or not, we all deserve days off. No guilt and no boundaries.” For Kourt, that means indulging her sweet tooth.
“I cheat twice a day with a little something sweet after lunch and dinner,” the 40-year-old mother of three said.
Last year, she revealed that she had become much more relaxed about her diet than she used to be. But in the post, she explained that when she was on a strict keto diet (a high-protein, high-fat, low-carb way of eating), she still allowed herself one cheat day, always on Sunday.
“When I did the keto diet, I was very strict six days a week and my cheat day was on Sundays,” Kourtney divulged. “I’d go to the farmers market before church and get a matcha latte and chocolate croissant from Alfred’s.” The celebrity hot spot has locations throughout Los Angeles and Austin, and other A-listers such as Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, and Justin Bieber are known to frequent it.
“Then after church, I’d head to Soho House for their buffet (all-you-can-eat waffles with butter and syrup),” she added. Talk about a cheat day.
While keto expert Dr. Anna Cabeca told People that breaking the diet, even for one day a week, can inhibit its effectiveness, she’s in full support of cheat days. “We all need feasting days,” Cabeca said. “We need to do what’s right for our bodies, and sometimes that means giving ourselves something to look forward to…we need to watch what we eat, but we need to celebrate our hard work, too.”
Kardashian also revealed that these days, she’s all about treating herself with junk food. “On my recent trip to Turks, we had a handful of junky foods, like Double Stuff Oreos and Cheetos for all of us to snack on,” she said. Who says the Kardashians aren’t relatable?
