Britney Spears Shares The Exact Exercises Behind Her Amazing Abs
It’s no secret that Britney Spears works hard for her toned body. The 37-year-old pop star frequently shares her workouts and shows off her incredible flexibility on social media. But believe it or not, aside from all the dancing, she’s not big on cardio. In a recent Instagram clip, Spears revealed that she hardly incorporates it into her regimen. Instead, she opts for controlled, isolated movements.
“I don’t like doing too much cardio,” she wrote in the caption. “My body has muscle memory, cus I use it be [sic] gymnast and I can bulk up …. so I like isolated movement. The key to my workout is repetition, but that gets boring so I have a booklet I’ve made with all my favorite exercises. I usually wear headphones …. music takes me away.”
Spears goes onto to explain that she has been working hard to drop three pounds before sharing some of her favorite moves for weight loss. With “Booty” by Jennifer Lopez playing in the background, she engages in strength-based exercises like bicep curls, glute bridges, squats, and some seriously impressive high kicks.
The post comes amidst the star’s recent mental health struggles, as well as her accusations that paparazzi are altering photos of her. In a now-deleted video, Spears calls out paps for making her look “40 pounds bigger” in shots of her vacationing in Miami with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
Regardless, the singer is obviously taking good care of herself. “I know I don’t look perfect here, but I’m working on it,” she finished the post.
