Meghan Markle Oozes Simple, Chic Glamour With Her Timeless Wedding Dress

The wedding of the year is finally here and Meghan Markle’s wedding dress did not disappoint. The bride was a vision for her special day as she wed Prince Harry in a gorgeous Givenchy gown.

Selecting a wedding dress is no easy task—and we can only imagine how hard it must have been for Meghan Markle with the whole world tuning in to watch her say “I Do.” The actress opted for a bespoke gown crafted for her by British designer Clare Waight Keller, who is at the helm of the luxury label and became the first female Artistic Director in the history of the French fashion house. All eyes were on Markle as she made her grand entrance at St. George’s Chapel on May 19 and walked down the aisle in the silk wedding dress, which featured an open neckline, structured silhouette, and slight A-line skirt. She oozed understated glamour with her beautiful bridal ensemble.

She complimented her dress to perfection with a romantic updo by Serge Normant and opted for a classic approach to her wedding day makeup, letting her freckles show right through, as she rocked a smoky eye and a natural lip, all thanks to Markle’s friend and artist Daniel Martin. She was simply radiant! A tiara from the Queen’s jewelry vault added some sparkle to her classic, refined wedding day look as she wore the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau.

With so much anticipation surrounding the Royal Wedding, we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before we see her look emulated—Markle is bound to set trends with her gorgeous, romantic wedding dress and bridal beauty.

Not only did Markle stand out in her one-of-a-kind ensemble, but Kate Middleton made her first post-baby appearance less than a month after giving birth to her son, Prince Louis. It was a family affair for the royals as Prince George and Princess Charlotte were also in the wedding party. Prince William served as his brother’s best man.

Waight Keller also designed the bridesmaid dresses for the special day while the mother-of-the-bride wore a bespoke Oscar de la Renta creation.
